Why you should consider flying to Antarctica?
Antarctica21 has pioneered travel to Antarctica in a new way that we passionately believe is better - fast, intimate access to the white continent. Before Antarctica21, there was only one option for travelers wanting to reach the Antarctic Peninsula: navigating the notoriously rough seas of the Drake Passage. But since 2003 we have offered a more comfortable alternative: Fly The Drake. Our 2-hour flight takes you from Punta Arenas, the Chilean gateway to Patagonia, directly to Antarctica, where you then board your expedition ship. No stormy crossing. No seasickness. Just quick, full immersion in your Antarctic adventure. More like private yachts, our small expedition ships provide direct access to areas along the Antarctic coast that larger vessels simply cannot reach. And because we have fewer guests, you'll get on and off the ship faster, so you can focus on what's important ashore: enjoying every moment of a unique travel experience.
The Main Benefits of an Air Cruise
-COMFORT: You fly from Chile-Patagonia via the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula, avoiding the rough open seas.
-TIME: Reach Antarctica in 02 hours instead of 02 days or more.

We use three similar aircraft for our Antarctic flights: the BAE 146-200, the AVRO RJ 85 and the AVRO RJ 100. These aircraft were manufactured in the UK by British Aerospace (which later became BAE Systems). These are high-wing aircraft that require short runways and are therefore particularly suitable for our destinations. They are operated by Aerovías DAP, which has over 25 years of experience flying Patagonia and Antarctica.
